We have had some great opportunities to spend time with some unique guests over the last couple of weeks! What a sweet time it was to meet and fellowship with the Bible Translaters, who work in Indonesia, that we have been partners with for four years. And then more recently some senior adults from the church that planted Cross Point five years ago, Holland Chapel, made the long trip to Lakewood! We've got relationships with God's children all over the world, and that's pretty cool; but, let's not forget to treasure the relationships we have with those in whom we live in community! People are Priceless!

Last Saturday, May 21, we took a team down to Laura's Home, the women & children's shelter, of The City Mission. They worked hard, along with 20 other volunteers, out in the sun cleaning up the outside of the facility: mowing & weed-whacking, pulling weeds & hedging the flowerbeds, leveling out a dirt hill & filling in low spots. When the work was finished, others from the church joined us down in the Metroparks for a picnic! Hard work, sweat, good food, sweet fellowship, hiking in the woods: what a day!

As part of the trip they got to visit with Holland Chapel in Benton, Arkansas, on that Sunday evening! Holland Chapel is the sending church that planted Cross Point in Lakewood 5 years ago. People from Holland Chapel have made many trips to Cleveland to visit with us, but it was a very neat experience on the flip side for the folks from Cross Point to have the opportunity to go and fellowship with the church that started it all up here!
