On February 12, Cross Point celebrated 5 years of...pointing to the cross and carrying ours! That was a pretty sweet worship service - we had old friends joining us, videos from past interns and local partners, guests from our sending church in Arkansas, and a lot more cool stuff!

Sometimes we can get so focused on "our little world" that we forget the bigger picture. God's Kingdom and all the work He is doing is not exclusive to our zip code. Recently, this perspective of God's Kingdom has come to us in a personal way: our youth pastor and his family moved to Arkansas. Naturally, because of the relationships, our hearts are saddened; but, this does not mean something went wrong. They and we are all still part of the same bigger picture, just living in different zip codes. "Your Kingdom come!"

Jim Harrell was the pastor of Holland Chapel Baptist Church when they launched Cross Point 5 years ago. Last week, after 50 years of preaching the Gospel, Jim Harrell went to heaven! Jim pastored various churches in south, central, and north Arkansas. He loved his wife, three sons and their families, but he loved Jesus even more. His passion was telling people about God's love and leading them to faith in Jesus! He fought the good fight, he finished the race, he kept the faith. We thank God for Jim Harrell and his role in the establishment of this community of believers in Northeast Ohio.
